This Statement, One-off kinetic rutile quartz necklace was one of my Degree Show pieces of jewellery. The large rutiled quartz slides up and down the piece. The large oxidised rollered silver, rectangular, centre piece also can be moved up and down the solid square neckwire to change the way the piece sits.
This piece is inspired by rustic architecture, the Scottish landscape and beaches of Largs where I used to comb the beaches for unusual shaped stones, pebbles and sea glass. Which has lead to my love of sourcing unusual and rare stones. This beautiful rutiled quartz has natural gold inclusions which makes each piece completely unique. It is polish faceted and is in contrast to the oxidised, rustic texture of the silver.
