These stunning statement, natural world silver leaf stud drop agate earrings, are from my newest collection inspired by the textures of the Scottish landscape. This particular version is a contemporary design, taking inspiration from the textures of the changing tides of beach. The silver leaf shape has been carved out in wax and cast in recycled silver. There is a different texture on each side. They have been lovingly handmade in my garden studio in Tayport, Fife.
The leaf shape is approximately 2cm and the blue agate stones are approx 4cm, so these earrings will make a statement. I love choosing gemstones with natural inclusions and these rare blue agates are irregular shapes and have lots of detail. I have no more of these agate gemstones, so this is the last pair that I have.
These can be worn as everyday wear earrings, as bridal jewellery or dress up them up and wear to an awards dinner or party. Style them as you wish. Add the matching neckpiece, pendant or ring.
Inspired by the textures of the natural world, during my walks on the beach, looking at how the textures change with the tides. The texture has geometric cracked shapes carved into the piece, then I have added hammered texture detail to make the earrings sparkle and catch the light. These earring can also be ordered in solid 9ct and 18ct gold. The silver version can also be plated in yellow gold and each earring can be made matt, polished or oxidised finish.
